Your Prenatal Care Timeline: What to Expect from 10 Weeks to Postpartum
At Capital Women’s Care, we’re here to guide you through every stage of your pregnancy with expert care, compassion, and support. Regular prenatal visits are one of the most important ways to ensure a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery, and a strong start for your baby. From your first trimester to your postpartum check-up, our providers will closely monitor your health and your baby’s development, answer your questions, and help you prepare for the exciting journey ahead.
10-28 weeks
You will see a provider in our office monthly until you are 28 weeks pregnant. These appointments include listening to your baby’s heartbeat, monitoring your growth and your baby’s growth via abdominal ultrasound.
28-36 weeks
You will see a doctor every two weeks from now until your 36th week for routine monitoring of your and your baby’s health.
36 weeks to delivery
You will be seen every week from 36 weeks until the time you deliver.
4-6 weeks after delivery
Post-partum visit allows doctor to check up on your health after delivery. You may discuss any concerns to your doctors as well as any plans of contraception if you are interested.
